The Town of Belvidere, in partnership with its community-based Neighborhood Stakeholder Team have created a viable and comprehensive five-year Historic Waterfront Business District Neighborhood Preservation Program Plan. This is a blueprint to create long lasting neighborhood preservation and revitalization. This plan will honor the deep-rooted history, traditions and spirit of Belvidere while making it a more visitor friendly town

EYES ON THE HORIZON

Like any big vision it requires lots of planning, imagination, and communication among people and groups. When applying for the NPP Grant from the State of New Jersey, locations and ideas of interest had to be identified that could be expanded on that benefit future growth and appeal. The NPP stakeholders discussed and decided to build upon the main components that make Belvidere unique.

The joining of two amazing rivers that cut through town, having remnants of many historic buildings and unique streets that once provided early Belvidere access to her surrounding towns and various economies. Here you will find an outline map of the Historic Belvidere Waterfront District.

In 2023, we asked for a boundary expansion to better serve our upcoming goals and community needs.
