MATERIAL GRANT FOR COMMERCIAL FAÇADE REHABILITATION

Belvidere's Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) is offering Material Grants to commercial property owners in the NPP neighborhood district. These grants will reimburse the cost of materials used to rehabilitate the façade or storefront of a commercial property, up to $1,000 per year.

The material grants are intended to repair and restore existing architectural elements and cannot be used for adding new elements.

The NPP portion of the assistance will be provided as a grant with no matching requirements. To qualify for the grant, the property owner must apply, be approved, and follow the guidelines and timelines provided by the Belvidere NPP.

The maximum amount of assistance provided to any one property owner under this grant will not exceed $3,000 over the course of the 5-year program. Recipients of the Material Grant will not be eligible for the Commercial Façade (Storefront) & Streetscape Improvement Grant.
